The third Scenario Pack from On Track Simulation is now on sale - Airedale & Wharfedale Lines: Mixed Traffic Scenario Pack (2003-2005).

This new Scenario Pack includes 18 engaging scenarios for the Leeds North West – Airedale & Wharfedale Lines route for TS Classic, and the scenarios encompass all types of service from passenger and freight services to railtours.

Enjoy an additional 14 hours of drive time covering all corners of the route, and take control of a variety of classes such as: 37, 43, 56, 91, 142, 150/2, 156 and Standard 4MT.

To ensure realism throughout, all the included scenarios have been created using real timetable documentation, reference photos and stock books.

The new U-Bahn Hamburg U1 U3 add-on for TS Classic is now on sale!

The extensively upgraded U1 line is now accompanied by the full U3 route. These two complete lines of Hamburg's U-Bahn include 70 stations and add up to a length of around 76 km.

Included are drivable Type DT5 and DT4 trains which feature a fully operational on-board computer, automatic announcements, manual door controls, authentic train sounds and video transmission from platform cameras while the train is at a station.

The route is Quick Drive enabled and a number of authentic AI trains are included as well as fourteen Standard scenarios for the DT5 and ten for the DT4. Three Free Roams for each locomotive are also included.

On Track Simulation's new Midland Main Line: Modern Passenger Operations Scenario Pack (2018-2019) is now on sale!

This second pack from On Track Simulation brings you 15 engaging scenarios for Just Trains' popular Midland Main Line route series for Train Simulator Classic.

The new Passenger Operations pack provides an additional 15+ hours of drive time, covering all corners of the route and giving you the chance to take control of a variety of classes such as: 43, 150/2, 156, 158, 170, 185 and 222. This package features a wide variety of services from core Train Operating Companies (TOCs): CrossCountry, East Midlands Trains/Railway, Northern and TransPennine Express.

To ensure realism throughout, all the included scenarios have been created using real timetable documentation, reference photos and stock books.

The new N-W Italian Railway Torino-Novara route for TS Classic is now on sale!

This 105-mile Italian route for TS Classic runs from Torino to Novara station and includes 29 stations, four freight yards and numerous distinctive custom assets. The custom OHLE and signalling systems replicate their real-world Italian counterparts and 12 scenarios will allow you to experience the route to the maximum.

The route comes with the highly detailed and accurate Minuetto EMU, with Expert-style controls, a feature that can create random failures and a function for dynamic destination board operation for use in scenario creation. Numerous AI-only trains are included in various liveries and the manuals are provided in English and Italian.

This new Pacer has been especially created for use on Dovetail Games' Cardiff City Network: Radur & Coryton – Penarth & Bae Caerdydd Route Add-On.

Just Trains' new BR Class 86/2 & Mk2F Coaches add-on for Train Sim World 5 (PC/Steam only) is now on sale!

This new electric loco and carriage collection for TSW 5 brings you the Class 86/2 electric locomotive in eight liveries as well as BSO, TSO and FO Mk2F Coaches and the Mk1 RMB Buffet Car, all compatible with Livery Designer and available in BR Blue/Grey and InterCity liveries.

The Class 86/2 features accurate interior and exterior modelling, an authentic and distinctive sound set and access to the machine room area, where some of the controls are operational.

A training module is available to guide you through the basic locomotive operating procedures and five engaging scenarios are included for the Just Trains West Coast Main Line: Preston - Carlisle route, for which the Class 86/2 enhances the existing timetable.

An update is now available via Steam for our West Coast Main Line – Preston-Carlisle route for TSW 5 and should download automatically when you next connect TSW online; this update may take up to 24 hours to take effect in your sim.

Along with updates and fixes for the route and the Class 87, we have included five brand-new Intercity liveries for the Class 87:

Just Trains' new West Coast Main Line: Preston - Carlisle route for Train Sim World 5 is now on sale!

The route is based in 1986 and gives you over 90 miles to drive, with eight highly detailed stations, Class 08, 87/0, 47/4 and 101 locomotives in a variety of liveries along with various passenger carriages and freight wagons.

As well as driving the electrified core of the West Coast Main Line from Preston to Carlisle, you can operate DMU services with the updated Class 101 on the Morecambe Promenade branch. We have also extended the main line north from Carlisle Citadel station to Kingmoor Yard and Depot.

This superbly detailed route features several signal boxes with modelled interiors, accurate signalling, five scenarios, locomotive training modules, real-world 24-hour timetable with numerous AI workings, Intra/Inter-Route Hopping, Conductor Mode, Collectables in varied locations for you to find and countless unique landmarks and buildings along the route.

We are pleased to announce that Just Trains will be joining the National Videogame Museum’s Educational Partnership programme. This inspiring project will form part of the Museum’s mission to help students in primary, secondary further education and higher education develop a wide range of STEAM and vocational skills. From pixel art to building controllers, the Museum’s education offer has something for every part of the learner journey.

Through workshops with families, outreach activity and award-winning programmes with schools, the Museum supports and showcases routes into the games industry with its vocational work, seeking to inspire new people to make new kinds of games and explore the various pathways within the industry.

Speaking about joining the programme, Just Trains' CEO Andy Payne OBE said: "This partnership is exactly what’s needed to help encourage and inspire the next generation of video game professionals. A new China Railways heavy freight loco and wagon collection for TS Classic is now on sale.

The China Railways HXD1 Locomotive - Heavy Haul Freight Pack brings you the HXD1 'Harmony' electric locomotive as well as four types of freight wagons: the C62 open-top wagon, P64 box car, NX70A flat wagon and G60K tank wagon.

Eight Standard scenarios and Quick Drives with 10 consist variations are included.

Among the features of the HXD1 locomotive are ADVS and ATP systems, anti-slip control, CTCS-3 signal control, dynamic operating pantograph with two heights, cruise control, in-cab audio messages and a fully featured operational supervision system.

A new update for the U-Bahn Hamburg U1 add-on for TS Classic is now available, providing the fully featured drivable DT4 loco along with eight new DT4 scenarios and some other updates - see the Support page for more information.

Existing owners of U-Bahn Hamburg U1 just need to log in to their Just Trains Account, click on 'Your Orders' and download the new software. Please ensure that Train Simulator is not running and uninstall your current U-Bahn Hanburg U1 software before installing the new v1.03 version.

If you don't already own this 55km route, there's never been a better time to explore Germany's longest U-Bahn service!

The new China Railways DF11G Twin-Unit Diesel Locomotive & 25T Series Coaches for Train Simulator Classic is now on sale.

This new add-on brings you the diesel-powered DF11G locomotive used on China's national railway system as well as XL Baggage Car, YW Hard Sleeper and YZ Ordinary Seating 25T Series passenger carriages. Five Standard scenarios and a Free Roam are included.

Among the features of the DF11G locomotive are authentic start-up sequence animations and sounds, in-cab audio messages, animated cab controls, limited-function LKJ signal monitoring system, over-speed alarm, driver vigilance device, multiple lighting controls and switchable under-body locomotive inspection lights.

Just Trains' new Wessex Main Line: Southampton - Salisbury Extension route is now on sale, letting you extend Dovetail Games’ South Western Main Line: Southampton–Bournemouth Route Add-on by around 36 miles.

This new route includes the direct route between Redbridge and Romsey as well as the line to Romsey via Eastleigh and Chandler's Ford.

12 highly detailed stations are included along with numerous features of interest the length of the route. Seventeen scenarios which require additional payware add-ons are available for you to drive as well as ten scenarios which only require default Train Simulator stock and stock which is included in Dovetail Games’ Southampton-Bournemouth Route Add-on.

This software also includes a number of updates and improvements to the Kuju Class 165/166 to greatly improve the driving experience.

The new U-Bahn Hamburg U1 expansion for Train Simulator is now on sale.

This new route provides the full length of Hamburg's 55-kilometre U-Bahn U1 line and its 47 stations along with a drivable Type DT5 train which features a fully operational onboard computer, automatic announcements, manual door controls, authentic train sounds and video transmission from platform cameras while the train is at a station.

A number of AI trains are included along with three Standard scenarios, two Free Roams and four Quick Drives. The route is Quick Drive enabled.

This version of the Hope Valley Extension is an extension for our Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby route, but is also available as the Hope Valley route for users who do NOT have the Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby route installed.

Paul Taylor RIP

All of us here at Just Trains were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Paul Taylor and we would like to extend our condolences to Paul's family and all his friends.

Paul was well known at GB Railfreight and he was a great help to Just Trains over the past seven years, sharing a wealth of knowledge and a great deal of his time which allowed us to build our routes to the highest standards. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Paul, and we are extremely grateful for his patience and kindness over the years.

Paul carried out countless hours of testing on Just Trains products to ensure that the signalling was correct and his contribution to the development of our products will always be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for everything, Paul. Rest in peace.

Paul 'H' Hyslop RIP

All of us here at Just Trains and Just Flight were deeply saddened to hear about the death of our great friend and colleague, Paul 'H' Hyslop, who looked after our sales to the retail trade for many years and was a much loved and well respected veteran of the wider games industry.

As well as being an industrious and conscientious member of the team, H was a loyal friend to all of us - kind, generous, thoughtful and one of the most genuine men you could wish to meet. He was always full of bonhomie, good humour and - whenever possible - a stiff drink or three. When you walked into a room you would usually hear H before you saw him, such was the volume of his laughter.

Our sincere condolences to all his family and friends - he'll be greatly missed.

Rest in peace, H - you were one of the best.

The 36-mile Nottingham-Lincoln route links Nottingham with the picturesque city of Lincoln via Newark-on-Trent and lets you drive from Nottingham to Lincoln as well as from Newark Northgate to Lincoln. The route is Quick Drive enabled and includes 15 detailed stations along with numerous new custom assets along the length of the route.

Just Trains new South Western Expressways - Reading route for Train Simulator is now on sale!

Around 220 miles in length, the route includes the Great Western Main Line (Chippenham to Bristol section), Bristol to Exeter, Reading to Taunton, Westbury to Bristol via Bath Spa and Westbury to Chippenham lines.

39 stations and numerous custom assets are included, along with a set of 19 Standard scenarios and 4 Free Roam scenarios.

South Western Expressways - Reading builds on the original set of routes in Just Trains' earlier South Western Expressways add-on which ended at Pewsey station. This new release adds the 39-mile section to Reading station and runs west from Reading in the east to Bristol via Westbury and south-west down to Exeter. Having Reading station now means you can drive the classic route of Reading-Westbury-Exeter without having to go via Bristol.

Alongside brand-new stations, existing stations have been updated and we have laid new track and updated the signalling and lineside scenery. The route comes with over 200 brand-new custom objects and is Quick Drive compatible.

Erewash Valley is now on sale!

This is an extension for Just Trains' Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby route with the Midland Main Line: Derby-Nottingham-Leicester Extension installed.

Please note that Erewash Valley will NOT work with the 'stand-alone' Derby-Nottingham-Leicester route for Train Simulator.

The Erewash Valley line branches off the Midland Main Line at Clay Cross junction, heading south. It is approximately 23 miles in length and includes the section from Trowell Junction to Mansfield Junction via Radford Junction. This section is used by passenger services to and from Nottingham. Also included is the freight line to Toton via Sandiacre.

The Quick Drive-enabled route includes the stations at Alfreton, Langley Mill and Ilkeston, numerous new custom assets and a number of scenarios - 16 which require additional payware add-ons and 12 which only require the European Loco and Asset Pack and the default stock included with Train Simulator.

Just Trains' new Derby-Nottingham-Leicester route for Train Simulator is now on sale!

Please note that two versions of the route are available:

Midland Main Line: Derby-Nottingham-Leicester Extension - for owners who already have the Just Trains Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby route installed.

Derby-Nottingham-Leicester - for TS2020 users who do NOT have the Just Trains Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby route installed.

This 40-mile route covers the Derby-Nottingham-Leicester section of the Midland Main Line. Nottingham is located to the east of the main line and trains need to come off the main line to travel through its impressive station and then come back onto the main line to run south.

The route features 12 accurately modelled stations and numerous custom objects. Among the unique structures and buildings along the route is the unique Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power Station, which has its own section of railway to drive.

39 Standard scenarios are included for the Midland Main Line Extension edition of the route and 29 scenarios are provided for the ‘stand-alone’ version which works in Train Simulator without Just Trains' Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby route; some require additional payware add-ons to run correctly and others only require default Train Simulator stock.

The whole world is currently gripped by the Coronavirus pandemic and it is a time of grave uncertainty for all of us. Whilst none of us can know how and when this pandemic will end, we can at least ensure that our teams and their families are kept as safe as possible.

Just Trains is based in the United Kingdom, but we do have partners and customers from all over the world. Our team have all been working from home for several weeks now and intend to keep our train and flight simulation products maintained and available to their communities. It is far from ‘business as usual’, but we do intend to keep working whilst all observing the very strict social distancing and self-isolation protocols so that we can keep ourselves and our fellow citizens safe.

We would like to thank all of our customers and partners for the support you have all showed us in the past; for that we are truly humbled.

Gotthardbahn Alpine Classic: Erstfeld – Bellinzona Route Add-On

This high-altitude 110km Swiss route lets you drive from Erstfeld on the North side of the Alps to Bellinzona near the Italian border, passing through 15 detailed stations. The route includes an SBB Re 460 electric locomotive, EWIV coaches in three variants and Res flat wagons. Our London Underground Metropolitan Line route is complete with 34 stations, all modelled in exquisite detail, impressive city and countryside scenery and all the distinctive buildings and features along this route between Aldgate in the City and Amersham in Buckinghamshire. Authentic London Underground signalling is used throughout the route, which is extensively detailed with all the appropriate line side equipment and structures.

The S7+1 Advanced Underground Stock has been developed for driving on the Metropolitan Line and includes 13 scenarios to drive on the route. The S7+1 boasts a part-operational Train Control Management System and the latest Signalling Interface Device which shows the appropriate display for your current Master Control Switch setting. Features include an operating tripcock system, train rollback protection, Restricted Manual driving mode, operational Calling On light, manual or automatic passenger door operation, detailed passenger carriages, door interlock protection system, functional destination displays and an operating Sensitive Edge alarm system.

Our S8 Advanced is another perfect train to drive on the Metropolitan Line and we've just updated the software with 13 new scenarios for this new Underground route. Just Trains' new Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby route for Train Simulator is now on sale!

This 36-mile route runs through the heart of South Yorkshire and Derbyshire and passes through seven accurately detailed stations. It includes a vast array of custom buildings, bridges, tunnels and other features along the route and 15 scenarios are included, 12 of which are available to drive either with additional payware stock or with default Train Simulator stock.

The new 2020 edition of Train Sim World is now on sale, priced at £24.99 / €29.99 / $29.99.

New features of the 2020 edition include the Journeys feature, which blends together more than 24 hours of sequential gameplay for each route, improved tutorials, an overhauled User Interface and a new Action Point scoring system which rewards you for accuracy and lets you track your performance.

All of your previously purchased TSW add-ons will work in Train Sim World 2020 and the core sim will be upgraded to the latest version next time you log in to your STEAM account. Two new German loco's from Dovetail Games are now on sale for Train Sim World - both are priced at £11.99 / €13.99 / $19.99.

The DB BR 155 electric freight locomotive comes in the Traffic Red livery and is equipped with authentic operating controls in the detailed driving cabs and fully functioning SIFA and PZB 90 safety systems. Our new S8 Advanced Underground Stock add-on for T2019 is now on sale!

The driver's cab of this new Advanced add-on boasts a part-operational Train Control Management System, the latest Signalling Interface Device which shows the appropriate display for your current Master Control Switch setting, switchable in-cab lighting and variable-speed wipers.

The new 2019 edition of Train Simulator is now on sale. If you already own TS2018, Train Simulator 2019 will automatically download to your PC free of charge the next time you start the Steam launcher, provided you have automatic downloads switched on. If you upgrade in this way, however, you will not get any of the new default content (routes/loco's) that is now supplied with TS2019; this normally becomes available to buy via Steam if you do wish to purchase it.

Train Simulator 2019 lets you master a wide variety of different loco's, learn routes and enjoy your collection from the perspective of the driver, passenger or railfan. The Portsmouth Direct Line is included, along with the Frankfurt High Speed and Soldier Summit & Salt Lake City routes, and the TS Academy lets you begin your career as a virtual train driver or engineer - see the Train Simulator 2019 page for full details.

TS2019 gives you the option to run it in 64-bit or 32-bit mode and you can find out more about the benefits of 64-bit operation in this article by the developer, Dovetail Games.

We have been told that all Just Trains add-ons which were compatible with TS2018 should also work in Train Simulator 2019 in both 32-bit and 64-bit modes. If you do experience any problems with running our add-ons, please get in touch via the Support system.

The development team at Just Trains are looking for more modellers to contribute to some major route projects which are currently in progress. They need 3D artists who can build accurate models of stations and trackside objects.

If you have experience creating buildings or other objects for Train Simulator or Trainz – or any modern payware or freeware PC game - you might be just the person they are looking for. You don’t need any detailed knowledge of railways, but an ability to produce accurate work from photographs and plans of real buildings is essential.

If you can answer yes to all the questions below, send us an email and we'll tell you a bit more.

Do you have experience in re-creating real-world items in a 3D modelling package, working from photographic references, Google Earth etc?
Do you understand game asset development requirements such as LODing and triangle/texture budgets?
Do you have experience in working with Autodesk 3ds Max (3D Studio/3D Studio Max) or other packages such as Maya or Blender?
Do you have experience in creating photorealistic textures using Adobe Photoshop or a similar graphics package?

Just Trains' new London-Aylesbury route for TS2018 is now on sale!

This new route runs between London Marylebone and Aylesbury Vale Parkway and has a total length of around 85 miles. It features 41 detailed stations, 15 scenarios and countless new custom buildings and objects.

The branch line between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury is included, as is the London Underground Metropolitan line from West Hampstead to Amersham, which includes accurate LU signalling.

Please note that two versions of the route are available:

London-Aylesbury (£24.99 / €30.95 / $37.99) - for TS2018 users who do NOT have our Chiltern Main Line route installed.
Chiltern Main Line London-Aylesbury Extension (£16.99 / €20.95 / $24.99) - requires the Just Trains Chiltern Main Line route to be installed. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE THE LATEST v1.04 VERSION OF CHILTERN MAIN LINE INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLING THIS LONDON-AYLESBURY EXTENSION SOFTWARE.
